The Ashtanga Primary Series is a traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa All Levels class. Primary series targets the main organs of the body, such as the digestive system, liver, gall bladder and kidneys and balances the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The practice is based on and around the tristhana method: pranayama, asana, and dristhi, or gaze. The instructor may guide students through the entire series or the first or second half. Although this is an all levels class, options will be given for more experienced practitioners.
